The Housebuilding Innovation Awards are the industry’s own awards - created by the industry, for the industry.
Devised by Housebuilder magazine and the Home Builders Federation, these awards aim to recognise companies which are demonstrating a commitment to innovation in the housebuilding industry. They are supported by the government, which views them as an aid to raising standards.
Their inaugural year in 2005 proved to be a great success showcasing the great strides the industry is making to improve all aspects of the business.
The 2006 and 2007 awards built on the success from the launch year, evolving both the categories and the event.
In 2007, the successful event was hosted by former MP Michael Portillo and was well attended by the leaders of the housebuilding industry. They came together at London’s Millennium Mayfair Hotel on November 1 to enjoy a night of celebration for those housebuilders who, recognising the shifting political agenda, have not only built homes, but to a standard that adheres to the zero carbon drive as well as the affordability agenda.
